🌙 The Sleepy Little Cloud

High up in the evening sky floated a small, fluffy cloud.

It wasn’t a big cloud.
It wasn’t a storm cloud.
It was a sleepy little cloud.

All day long, the little cloud had drifted across the sky, watching birds fly below and the sun slowly move away.
Now the sky was turning soft and purple, and the stars were beginning to blink awake.

The little cloud yawned.

“Oh my,” it said quietly, “I feel very sleepy.”

The Wind heard this.

The Wind was kind and gentle at night.

“Then it’s time to slow down,” the Wind whispered.
“I’ll help you.”

The Wind blew softly — not fast, not strong — just enough to rock the little cloud back and forth.

In…
Out…

The little cloud felt lighter.

Below, the world was getting ready for bed.
Lights in houses turned off one by one.
Children cuddled under blankets.
Stuffed animals were tucked in tight.

The little cloud smiled.

It floated past the Moon, who glowed warmly in the sky.

“Good evening,” said the Moon.
“You look tired.”

“I am,” said the little cloud.
“But it feels nice.”

“That’s how sleep begins,” the Moon said gently.

The little cloud drifted a little slower now.
It stretched itself softly across the sky and felt warm and safe.

In…
Out…

Tiny stars twinkled nearby, blinking slowly as if they were sleepy too.

The Wind hummed a quiet lullaby.
The Moon watched kindly.
The night wrapped everything in calm.

The little cloud closed its cloud-eyes.

It didn’t need to go anywhere.
It didn’t need to do anything.

It could just rest.

And as the sky grew darker and quieter, the sleepy little cloud drifted into the softest sleep — floating peacefully until morning came.

🌙☁️

Good night.
Sweet dreams.
